With gratitude, I approach sixty years in the Year of
the Rat. From wisdom, I create not to impress, but to celebrate
my life's yin and yang. Please journey with me; explore
the play of light, shadow, vibrant color in the passionate
"abrazo" of tango dancers, energy of skateboarders,
lazy plein air summers in vineyards, and fragrant tropical
breezes of my island origins. [Web

I create one-of-a-kind art dolls. I do not use any molds
or patterns. I sculpt the clay and the idea of a doll begins.
I add cloth and treasures and the essence of their personality
shines through. Sculpting has a very calming effect on me.
As my hands work the clay, my imagination over takes me,
I feel as if I am singing through the fabric of colors and
I dance with my dolls in a harmonious waltz, and when the
dance is over there is a sprite standing on my table just
waiting to be seen. I sign and number each one. [ e-mail

Cougar Ridge Metalcraft is devoted to creating exceptional
and unique metal art. Our wall themes are personally designed;
plasma cut from quality steel; meticulously cleaned; artfully
arranged in a three dimensional designs and expertly welded.
Each piece is then colored with gas and flame, and sealed
with a heat applied clear finish. Because of the handcrafting
of each element at each step, no two are exactly alike.

Ginkgo & Gourds |
I began working with gourds about 10 years ago after
having a facination with them for years. This was a medium
where I got to combine my love for nature, the Ginkgo tree
and art, all in a fat bottomed gourd. The shape of the Ginkgo
leaf and the roundness of the gourd go so well together.
I trace each individual leaf on the gourd, then woodburn,
stain and sometimes carve the gourd, making each one unique.

Watercolor painting has always mesmerized me!! As I paint
thin veils of colors, planned and unexpected transparencies
reveal new colors and shapes. My journey through this mosaic
includes embellishing as I weave my tapestry together into
a story. Drawing with ink further enhances shapes to create
the 'sparkling' stained glass effect I am looking for. Lately,
my stories involve my passion for Italian monuments. Oregon
lodges and Oregon flora and fauna also vie for my attention
as subject matter.

My work is in two very different mediums-pine needle baskets
and fused glass. One gives the pleasure of creating something
beautiful out of something very ordinary. The other starts
with already beautiful materials that are fashioned into
something useful or that tell a story. I want to always
be trying something new and to be expanding my horizons.
